Ward 21 Green Map
This Ward 21 Green Map was created in 2013. It shows the eastern half of the current Ward 12, also known as Toronto St. Paul's.
The Green Map was the product of a series of visioning sessions that took place at Green Neighbours 21 meetings in early 2013. The map includes many natural features in Toronto's Ward 21, as well as initiatives from individuals, organizations, businesses, and government that reduce reliance on energy and resources, and that help to foster a local eco-culture. Examples of some map features include the Cedarvale and Nordheimer Ravines, green buildings, green homes, community gardens, EcoSchools, and more.
Ward 21 is rich in environmental awareness and activity. By bringing it all together on this map, we hope to encourage the community to keep going with its work, to start new projects, and to inspire other communities to do the same.
Paper copies of this first edition of the map were handed out at the 2013 Eco-Fair at the Barns. We hope that over time there will be more to add to the map for possible future editions.
In 2022, we began working on an online version of the map. If you would like to nominate things to be added to the map, or join our mapping team, please e-mail us at: greenneighbours@gn21.ca
